Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, payment terms, and contracts, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.Monitor supplier performance through the traffic light system, producing accurate monthly reports and presenting insights to stakeholders.Maintain up-to-date supplier factory data, ensuring compliance and capacity information is accurate.Support the Sourcing Manager in developing and delivering the sustainability strategy, introducing new innovations and ensuring suppliers meet ethical and environmental standards.Identify and assess potential new suppliers, exploring new sourcing markets and country-of-origin capabilities.Oversee sample management and approvals, ensuring deadlines are achieved and product launches remain on track.Collaborate with Product Development, Merchandising, Logistics, and Finance teams to achieve key business milestones.Provide guidance and support to Sourcing Assistants and Executives, helping embed best practice across the team.Represent the business at supplier meetings and visits, including occasional international travel. Your background as a Sourcing professional: 3–5 years’ experience in sourcing, buying, or product development within apparel, sportswear, or lifestyle retail.Demonstrable experience negotiating with international suppliers and managing global supply bases.Strong knowledge of payment terms, duty rates, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and lead times.Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to run, analyse, and present data-driven reports.Understanding of ethical and sustainable sourcing, with a genuine interest in driving improvements.Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to work independently and influence strategy.
