Newly created Head of Performance Marketing role with global retail business
This Head of Performance Marketing will oversee the development and implementation of industry-leading paid media strategies ensuring excellence in strategy, measurement, and KPI lead performance across key platforms such as Google, Meta, Snapchat, TikTok, and Bing.
Experience managing large teams in a fast paced challenging environment is essential.
Responsibility:
- Provide strategic direction for the Paid Media Team.
- Comprehensive financial oversight of all Paid Media activities, including performance forecasting, budget allocation, profitability management and supplier invoices.
- Own relationships with external suppliers such as Google, Bing, Meta, Snap, TikTok etc. from a strategic & project point of view.
- Develop and implement both short-term and long-term testing roadmaps, executing strategies to expand paid media activities in alignment with business KPI targets.
- Responsible for ensuring all paid media activations are delivered and maintained to industry gold standard.
- Keep up to date with latest industry trends and drive innovation through alpha and beta testing across key suppliers.
- Establish Paid Media "Best Practices" that recognise the unique position of each division, incorporating a consistent approach while allowing flexibility to meet the specific needs of each division.
- Develop the team and their progression through innovative training structures and PDP frameworks to be used across the teams.
- Work closely with trade teams to hit weekly and yearly performance targets.
- Provide online demand insights to internal stakeholders to inform key marketing decisions.
- Manage the relationship between the paid media team and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Attribution – Understanding the position of Paid Media in relation to the overall customer journey.
- Work with data scientists to understand performance trends and deliver best in class test and learn approach across key activations.
- Supporting omni-channel marketing approach.
Experience:
- 5+ year paid media ecommerce experience, working in a senior digital role.
- Experience activating and managing teams across all aspects of paid activity inc. Paid Search, Paid Social, Video, Re-Targeting & Digital Display
- Team management and development experience.
- Experience using web analytics tools such as Google Analytics
- Adopt a professional, self-driven approach, identifying opportunities for improvement within Paid Media to advance strategies and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Inspire paid team performance through strong leadership skills and example setting.
